If you just want to build the most efficient factory possible and make it bigger and bigger just for the sake of making it bigger because you can, go Factorio.īut the Factorio is more polished than Satisfactory argument is not true at all. If building amazingly huge factories on the cliff side of a mountain over a waterfall sounds like something fun, then go the Satisfactory route. The possibilities are endless, unlike Factorio where cosmetics don't exists and every base will look the same because, well, you're building in 2D on flat land with very, very limited building sets.

And with the latest update, update 5, you can build absolutely anything. 3D or 2D? After playing Factorio for close to 1000h, Satisfactory is a breath of fresh air. In fact, the people who designed satisfactory met the Factorio design team multiple times. Satisfactory is an extremely polished experience, same for Factorio. Both are absolutely fantastic at what they do.
